3V TO 5V, 2.5Gbps TRANSIMPEDANCE AMP WITH +0dB OVERLOAD
SUNNYVALE, CA—July 27, 2000—Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX3864 3V to 5.5V transimpedance amplifier with +0dBm overload. The MAX3864 is ideal for short to long reach SDH/SONET applications where -24dBm to +0dBm optical dynamic range is required.
The MAX3864’s 30mil x 50mil die size and 110mW power dissipation make it ideal for applications in a TO-46 or TO-56 header. With a 2.5-ohm transimpedance gain over 1.9GHz of bandwith, the MAX3864 is the perfect choice for 2.488Gbps SDH/SONET extended temperature applications.
The product is available in die and in an 8-pin SO with an operating range of -40°C to +85°C. The MAX3864E/D is priced at $7.95 (1000-up, factory direct, FOB USA) and the MAX3864ESA (8-pin SO) is priced at $8.95 (1000-up, factory direct, FOB USA). Evaluation kits are available (MAX3864EVKIT).
