SUB 200ns, MICROPOWER COMPARATORS FEATURE SHUTDOWN MODE IN SC70-6
SUNNYVALE, CA—August 2, 2000—Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9030/MAX9031 fast comparators with a signal propagation delay, typically 188ns. The MAX9030 consumes only 55&#micro;A maximum, offers a shutdown feature, and fits in the space-saving 6-pin SC70 package. The combination of low power and fast response time in a 2mm x 2.1mm package makes these comparators ideal for value-driven systems where small size and low power are critical.
These comparators operate from a +2.5V to +5.5V supply voltage. The push-pull output signals offer true rail-to-rail swings. The input voltage range allows for ground sensing, and the internal hysteresis of 4mV is designed to prevent erroneous output transitions.
The single comparator, MAX9031, is offered without the shutdown function in the space-saving 5-pin SC70 and 5-pin SOT23 packages. The MAX9030 also comes in the 3mm x 3mm 6-pin SOT23 package. Prices start from $0.26 (1000-up, FOB USA).
