NEW LMX321/LMX358/LMX324 OP AMPS OFFER IMPROVED PERFORMANCE OVER INDUSTRY STANDARD
SUNNYVALE, CA-October 2, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces a new series of pin-for-pin compatible upgrades to the industry-standard LMV321/358/324 op amp family. Maxim’s LMX321/LMX358/LMX324 op amps operate from a single 2.3V to 7V supply range, two times wider than the competition. The temperature range, -40°C to +125°C, is a 32% improvement over the competition. Additionally, Maxim offers its 2.7V parametric specifications over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range, while the competition provide only room temp specs at 2.7V. Maxim’s op amps are also designed to handle large capacitive loads up to 2000pF, typically seen when biasing power amplifiers requiring lowpass noise filters in wireless handset applications.
The LMX358 dual op amp in an 8-pin SOT23 package reduces board space by 40% over the 8-pin µMAX (MSOP) package offered by the competition. LMX321 is offered in the industry-standard 5-pin SC70 and SOT23 packages. The LMX324 quad op amp is offered in a 14-pin TSSOP as well as an SO package. Prices start at $0.26 (1000-up, FOB USA).
