SUNNYVALE, CA-November 8, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX6672/MAX6673, single-wire PWM output sensors with a 60µA (typ) current consumption. Available in tiny 5-pin SC70 packages, these temperature sensors are perfect for industrial, HVAC, process control, and environmental monitoring applications.
The MAX6672/MAX6673 encode temperature data in the PWM output waveform, providing a nominal accuracy of 1°C over a single wire that easily interfaces with a microprocessor or microcontroller I/O port.
The MAX6672 provides an open-drain output and the MAX6673 provides a push-pull output. Both devices have a nominal output frequency of 1.4kHz.
The MAX6672/MAX6673 operate from a 2.4V to 5.5V supply and the operating temperature range is from -55°C to +150°C.
