SUNNYVALE, CA-May 23, 2003-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX9017-MAX9020 low-cost, dual, nanopower comparators packaged in a tiny 8-pin SOT23. These comparators include an on-chip 1.240V bandgap reference with 1% initial accuracy. Typical quiescent current for the dual comparators with reference is a very low 1.2µA. The combination of ultra-low current consumption, 1.8V to 5.5V operation, 1% internal reference, Beyond-the-Rail input range, rail-to-rail output swing, and very small footprint makes these devices ideal for battery monitoring in portable products.

All devices are specified for operation over the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). Prices for the MAX9017 start at $0.56 (100,000-up, FOB USA).
