(NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX6514/MAX6515, fully integrated temperature switches that assert a logic signal when a preset temperature value is reached. The MAX6514/MAX6515 provide ±1.5°C (max) accuracy over the full factory-programmed range. Temperature trip thresholds are factory set and available from -45°C to +15°C and +35°C to +115°C in 10°C increments. Hysteresis is pin selectable at 2°C or 10°C. No external components are required.
The MAX6514 provides push-pull active-high outputs while the MAX6515 provides an open-drain active-low output.
The MAX6514/MAX6515 operate over a -40°C to +125°C temperature range with a power-supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. These devices are available in a space-saving 5-pin SOT package. Prices start at $0.64 (2500-up, FOB USA).
