DALLAS, TX—March 8, 2004—Dallas Semiconductor (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the DS1094L EconOscillator™, the industry's only single-component, multiphase, spread-spectrum clock oscillator. It offers output frequencies between 31.25kHz and 2MHz with operation over the industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
The DS1094L EconOscillator generates four multiphase, spread-spectrum, square-wave outputs. Use of 0%, 2%, 4%, or 8% dither of the internal master oscillator to reduce peak spectral energy at the fundamental and harmonic-clock frequencies, significantly reduces system-level electromagnetic interference (EMI). The DS1094L is ideally suited as a clock generator for switched-mode power supplies.
Available in the tiny 8-pin µSOP, the DS1094L operates in the 3.0V to 3.6V range. Pricing begins at $1.93 (1k-up, FOB USA).
