製品概要
The DS276 Low-Power Serial Communications Transceiver is designed with extremely low-power requirements making it ideal for battery-powered systems. The single driver receiver pair operates from as little as 2.7 V and consumes less than 25µA in standby mode.
The receiver input translates RS-232 signal levels to common CMOS/TTL levels. The transmitter circuit steals current from the receive RS-232 signal when that signal is in a negative state (marking). Since most serial communication ports remain in a negative state statically, using the receive signal for negative power greatly reduces the DS275's static power consumption. During an actual communication session, the DS276's transmitter will use system power (3 to 12 volts) for positive transitions while still employing the receive signal for negative transitions.
The DS276 is ideal where power consumption is a critical design element and is characterized for operation between 0°C and 70°C. These applications include single-board computers, handheld instruments, portable medical instruments, and remote data logging equipment.
