製品概要
MAX6615/MAX6616は、内部ダイ温度および1つの外付けサーミスタの温度、または2つの外付けサーミスタの温度のいずれかの2つの温度チャネルを監視します。温度データによってPWM出力信号が制御され、冷却ファンのスピードが調整されます。このため、システムが冷えた状態で動作している場合はノイズが最低限に抑えられ、電力消費が増大している場合は冷却が最大化されます。ファンの障害を検出するために、ファンのタコメータ出力信号はMAX6615/MAX6616によって監視されます。ファンの障害が検出された場合は、アクティブローFAN_FAIL出力がアサートされます。
2線式シリアルインタフェースは標準システム管理バス(SMBus™)のWrite Byte、Read Byte、Send Byte、およびReceive Byteコマンドを受け付け、温度データを読み取り、アラームスレッショルドを設定します。プログラマブルアラーム出力を使って、割込み、スロットル信号、または温度過昇シャットダウン信号を生成することができます。
MAX6616は、さらにフレキシビリティを高めるために6つのGPIOを備えています。PRESET端子をグランドまたはVCCに接続する設定に応じて、入力または出力として起動されるGPIO0を除き、その他のすべてのGPIOは入力として起動されます。
MAX6616は24ピンQSOPパッケージ、またMAX6615は16ピンQSOPパッケージで提供されます。両デバイスとも3.0V～5.5Vの単一電源範囲で動作し、-40℃～+125℃の動作温度範囲を備え、消費電流はわずか500µAです。
