製品概要
高集積パワーマネージメントIC (PMIC)のMAX8671Xは、ポータブルメディアプレーヤおよびその他のハンドヘルド機器に最適です。MAX8671Xは、5つのレギュレートされた出力電圧のほかに、1セルリチウムイオン(Li+)またはリチウムポリマ(Li-Poly)チャージャおよびデュアル(ACアダプタおよびUSB)電源入力のSmart Power Selector™を内蔵しています。デュアル入力のSmart Power Selectorは、デュアルまたはシングルパワーコネクタを備えた最終製品をサポートします。バッテリと外部電源間でシステム負荷の充電および切替えを行うためのすべてのパワースイッチが内蔵されています。外付けMOSFETは不要です。
マキシムのSmart Power Selectorによって、制限されたUSBまたはACアダプタ電源を最大限に活用することができます。バッテリ充電電流と入力電流制限は、独立して設定されます。システムで使用されていない入力電源がバッテリを充電します。充電電流とDC電流制限は、最大1Aまで設定可能で、USB入力電流は100mAまたは500mAに設定することができます。システム負荷のバッテリから外部電源への切替えは自動入力選択機能によって行われます。その他の機能として、過電圧保護、充電ステータスおよびフォルト出力、パワーOKモニタ、充電タイマ、およびバッテリサーミスタモニタなどがあります。さらに、内蔵の温度リミット回路によって、バッテリ充電速度が低下し、過熱を防止します。
MAX8671Xは、すべての出力に調整可能な電圧を提供します。また、出力電圧を出荷時にプリセットした同様の製品も提供されています(入手性についてはお問い合わせください)。
