EE-Quiz Question 3

What's in the Black Box?

You have a small black cube, 2.5cm per side. The internal workings are not visible, but the box has two terminals. You measure these two terminals with a voltmeter, and it measures precisely 1V. You short the two terminals with an ammeter, and it reads precisely 1A. You then conclude the internal circuit is either a Thevenin source (1V source with 1-ohm output impedance) or a Norton source (1A current with a 1-ohm shunt).

Question:

Using standard laboratory equipment, how could you differentiate between the two circuits?
