Definition

General Purpose Interface Bus (汎用インタフェースバス)：コンピュータで電子機器を制御するための標準バス。ANSI/IEEE規格488-1978、および488.2-1987で定義されているため、IEEE-488とも呼ばれる。また、このプロトコルを発明したHewlett-Packard社の商標語のHP-IBという呼称もある。
