Industrial, Scientific and Medical (工業、科学、医療の)：ある最大放射電力制限内でライセンスなしの通信機器によって利用可能な無線周波数帯。ISM帯を使用している機器は他の機器からの干渉に耐える必要がある。WiFi (802.11a/b/g)やコードレス電話がその典型利用例に含まれる。
