DALLAS SEMICONDUCTOR ANNOUNCES HIGH-DENSITY E1 SINGLE-CHIP TRANSCEIVER AT ECONOMICAL PRICE
DALLAS, TX-July 10, 2001-The DS21Q50 is an economically priced, monolithic quad E1 transceiver. Each of the DS21Q50’s four transceivers has a full-function long-haul LIU, jitter attenuator, and E1 framer. In addition, the device has a CMI code/decode function, making the DS21Q50 ideal for 2.048MHz optical interfaces. A flexible system clock interface is included to allow smooth switching between multiple master clock sources. An undedicated jitter attenuator is also available for cleaning up additional system clocks. Communication with the device can occur through a serial or parallel interface. The DS21Q50 is used in E1 access equipment, routers, CSUs, muxes, and switches.
