32 x 16ノンブロッキングビデオクロスポイントスイッチ、OSD挿入及びI/Oバッファ付、+5V単一電源から動作
SUNNYVALE, CA-October 25, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4355MAX4358 16x16 and 32x16 video crosspoint matrix switches with input and output buffers and on-screen display insertion (OSD). Each individual output can be switched between a video signal source and OSD information via an internal, dedicated fast 2:1 mux (30ns switching times) located before the output buffer. This eliminates the need for 16 external mux-amps. Superior flexibility, high integration, and space-saving packaging make these nonblocking switch matrices ideal for routing video signals in security and video-on-demand systems.
These devices operate from ±3V to ±5V dual supplies or from a single +5V supply. Digital logic is supplied from an independent single +2.7V to +5.5V supply. All inputs and outputs are buffered, with all outputs able to drive standard 75 reverse-terminated video loads. The switch matrix configuration and output buffer gain are programmed via an SPI/QSPI-compatible three-wire serial interface and initialized with a single update signal. The unique serial interface operates in two modes, serial bus or daisy-chained, facilitating both fast updates and initialization. On power up, all outputs are initialized in the disabled state to avoid output conflicts in large array configurations.
The MAX4355 and MAX4356 are 16x16 crosspoint switch matrices, while the MAX4357 and MAX4358 are 32x16 crosspoint switch matrices. The MAX4356 and MAX4358 each offer 16-channels of OSD insertion.
The MAX4355 is available in a 100-pin TQFP package. The MAX4356 and MAX4357 are offered in 128-pin TQFP packages and the MAX4358 is available in a 144-pin TQFP package. All devices are specified over an extended -40°C to +85°C temperature range. Pricing starts at $65.00 (MAX4355, 1000-up, factory direct, FOB USA). The MAX4358EVKIT evaluation kit is available to speed design.
