Note to Editor: The MAX6710 is the first quad voltage µP supervisor capable of monitoring voltages down to 0.622V in a 6-pin SOT23 package. Various combinations of fixed and adjustable voltages are available to meet all low-voltage system requirements.
SUNNYVALE, CA-February 6, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX6710 quad voltage monitor with integrated reset timing designed to monitor multivoltage systems in telecommunications, networking equipment, storage devices, high-end printers, and computers.

Whenever one of the four monitored voltages falls below its threshold, the open-drain reset output asserts and remains asserted for at least 140ms after all four voltages exceed their respective thresholds. The reset output is internally pulled up to VCC to reduce the need for an external resistor, but can be overdriven to accommodate other logic devices.

There are 17 versions of the MAX6710 with different thresholds and supply tolerances to meet the requirements of various applications. Preset thresholds for monitoring 5V, 3.3V, 3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, or adjustable versions are available to accommodate most of today’s standard logic devices.

This device operates from 1V to 5.5V with the power derived from one of the monitored inputs to reduce the need for a separate VCC pin (except MAX6710Q). The MAX6710 consumes only 25µA of quiescent current, is fully specified over the extended temperature range, and is available in a 6-pin SOT23 package. Prices start at $1.67 (2500-up, FOB USA).
