COMPLETE 8x4/4x4 VIDEO CROSSPOINTS SIMPLIFY SWITCHING APPLICATIONS
SUNNYVALE, CA-November 10, 1999-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4359/MAX4360, complete 4x4 and 8x4 video crosspoint switches. These low-cost crosspoint switches greatly simplify designs traditionally done with discrete components, because they reduce component count, board space, design time, and system cost. Ideal for security systems and teleconferencing applications, these devices offer a selectable serial or parallel digital interface to control the routing of any of their four or eight inputs to any of their four outputs. On-chip input buffers and three-statable output buffers allow easy interconnection of multiple stages to achieve larger crosspoint arrays.
The MAX4359/MAX4360 exhibit 65MHz -3dB bandwidth and 80dB all-channel off-isolation with 70dB single-channel crosstalk at 5MHz. The output buffers feature a slew rate of 250V/µs. All outputs can be three-stated to allow wire-ORed configurations. They drive 400W and are stable with 40pF of capacitance, which simplifies layout constraints.
The MAX4359 (4x4) is available in 24-pin SO or space-saving 36-pin SSOP packages. The MAX4360 (8x4) is offered in a 36-pin SSOP package. Prices start from $4.98 (1000-up, FOB USA).
