クロック分配及び分周に最適な1GHz、1:15 LVECL/LVPECLクロックドライバ
SUNNYVALE, CA-October 4, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products
(NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX9322, LVECL/LVPECL low-skew, differential, divide-by-1, divide-by-2, 1:15 clock driver. The MAX9322's low jitter (0.9ps max random jitter) is ideal for clock distribution and division in mass storage servers, central office and networking switches, routers, and SONET/SDH communication applications. The device has 15 outputs arranged in four banks with two, three, four, and six outputs. Each output bank is individually programmable to provide a divide-by-1 or divide-by-2 frequency function. The input multiplexer selects from one of the two differential LVPECL/HSTL/LVECL or single-ended (by connecting the unused input pin to internal VBB) input clocks and distributes the divided signal at 15 LVPECL/LVECL outputs.
The MAX9322 operates with a wide supply range from +2.375V to +3.8V in PECL systems and -2.375V to -3.8V in ECL systems. It is specified for operation over the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) and is a pin-compatible upgrade to the MC100LVEL222. The maximum supply current is 66mA (typ) at +25°C, a 46% improvement over the competition. The MAX9322 is available in 52-pin TQFP and 68-pin QFN packages.
Refer to the MAX9322 data sheet for package information. Prices start at $17.46 in the 52-pin TQFP package, and $18.34 for the 68-pin QFN package (1000-up, FOB USA).
