1GHz、高速1:5 LVPECL/LVDSからLVDSへのリピータ

 
 

SUNNYVALE, CA-October 8, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX9310/MAX9310A and the MAX9317/MAX9317A/MAX9317B/MAX9317C, the newest members of the Maxim LVPECL-to-LVDS clock-driver family. The MAX9310/MAX9310A are single 1:5 LVPECL-to-LVDS clock drivers and the MAX9317-MAX9317C are dual 1:5 LVPECL/LVDS-to-LVDS clock drivers. These clock drivers accept two LVPECL/HSTL/LVDS differential or single-ended signal sources into the input multiplexer and translate them to LVDS. The differential output levels conform to the ANSI TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standard. Inherent low-jitter performance (0.8ps (RMS)) and low output-to-output skew (10ps typ) are ideal for clock and data distribution in DSLAMs, base stations, central-office switches, networking switches and routers, and SONET/SDH communication applications where signal and clock integrity are critical.

The MAX9310/MAX9317/MAX9317A are designed for low-voltage operation from a 2.375V to 2.625V power supply for use in 2.5V systems, while the MAX9310A/MAX9317B/MAX9317C are designed for 3V to 3.6V operation in systems with a nominal 3.3V supply. The MAX9317A/MAX9317C have an integrated 50Ω termination resistor to reduce external component counts. The differential output voltage (VOD) is specified as >250mV at 1GHz. These devices are specified over the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).

The single 1:5 MAX9310/MAX9310A clock drivers are available in a 20-pin TSSOP package. The dual 1:5 MAX9317-MAX9317C clock drivers are available in 32-pin TQFP and QFN packages. The 32-pin QFN package offers better thermal characteristics with a 70% smaller footprint. The MAX9317B is pin compatible with the MC100EP210S.
