±60Vフォルト保護、±15kV ESD保護、フェイルセーフRS-485/RS-422及びJ1708トランシーバ
SUNNYVALE, CA-November 4, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX3440E-MAX3444E ±60V fault-protected RS-485/RS-422 and J1708 transceivers. The MAX3440E-MAX3444E are intended for telecom, industrial, and HVAC applications that use power supplies as high as +48V. Line faults and short circuits up to ±60V do not damage or latch up the MAX3440E-MAX3444E.
The MAX3440E-MAX3444E are designed with many features to protect against fault conditions. Hot-swap circuitry eliminates false transitions along the data cable during circuit initialization or connection to a hot backplane. This circuitry keeps the driver in a high-impedance state until enable is asserted. Short-circuit current limiting and thermal shutdown protect the driver against excessive power dissipation. The MAX3440E-MAX3444E have on-chip ±15kV ESD-protection structures that eliminate the need for external devices when used in rugged environments susceptible to static discharge. They also feature true fail-safe receiver inputs to guarantee a logic-high output when the receiver inputs are open, shorted, or connected to a data line with all drivers disabled.
The MAX3440E-MAX3443E RS-485/RS-422 transceivers operate from a 5V single supply, consuming only 10µA of supply current in shutdown (MAX3442E/MAX3443E). The MAX3441E/MAX3443E feature guaranteed data rates up to 10Mbps, while the MAX3440E/MAX3442E are slew-rate limited, operating up to 250kbps. The MAX3444E J1708 transceiver requires a 5V single supply and guarantees data rates up to 250kbps.
The MAX3440E-MAX3444E are available in the extended and automotive temperature ranges in an industry-standard 8-pin SO or 8-pin DIP. Prices start at $2.20 (1000-up, FOB USA).
