業界初、小型3x3 UCSPパッケージに完全集積されたLDO内蔵マイクロプロセッサリセット回路が300mAを出力
SUNNYVALE, CA-November 22, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX6477-MAX6484, the first low-dropout linear regulator and microprocessor reset circuits integrated together in a small UCSP. Delivering up to 300mA of output current, the MAX6477-MAX6484 are available with preset outputs from 1.5V to 3.3V in 100mV increments. These devices provide flexibility in voltage and reset timing thresholds.
The combination of small size (3 x 3 UCSP), low power (82µA), reverse-current and thermal protection, and a shutdown feature makes these devices ideal for portable battery-operated applications. Additionally, an internal filter reduces output noise to only 75µVRMS, making the MAX6477-MAX6484 ideal for low-noise applications.
Each device has reset threshold options set for 5% or 10% below the regulator output. Whenever the regulated output voltage falls below the reset threshold or the manual reset is asserted, the reset output asserts and remains asserted for at least the minimum reset timeout (2.5ms, 20ms, 150ms, or 1200ms) after the regulated output voltage exceeds the reset threshold. All versions are offered with either an active-low, push-pull or an active-low, open-drain reset output.
The MAX6477-MAX6480 have a SET pin allowing the output voltage to be adjusted from 1.2V to 5.5V with external resistors. The MAX6479-MAX6482 include a manual reset input, and the MAX6482 MAX6483 have a remote feedback sense option to function as a regulator controller.
The MAX6477/MAX6478/MAX6481-MAX6484 feature additional
capabilities: a shutdown mode that reduces current consumption to under 1µA; a thermal shutdown feature, which turns off the internal PMOS switch when the junction temperature exceeds the specified maximum condition; and reverse leakage current protection, which prevents battery cell damage.
Prices start at $1.50 (2,500 or 10,000 minimum, FOB USA).
