ヘッドフォンアンプ及び入力マルチプレクサ付、3Wステレオオーディオアンプ、ノートブック及びDVDアプリケーションに最適
SUNNYVALE, CA-February 19, 2003-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ:MXIM) introduces the MAX9760-MAX9763 family of integrated audio amplifiers optimized for portable applications such as notebook computers and DVD players. This IC family combines a stereo or mono 3W bridge-tied load (BTL) audio amplifier, stereo headphone amp, headphone sensing, and a 2:1 input multiplexer all in a tiny 28-pin thin (5mm x 5mm x 0.8mm) QFN package.
These devices operate from a 4.5V to 5.5V single supply and feature an industry-leading 100dB PSRR, allowing operation from noisy supplies without adding a linear regulator. Ultra-low 0.002% THD+N ensures clean, low-distortion amplification of the audio signal. Patented click-and-pop suppression eliminates audible transients on power and shutdown cycles.
Power-saving features include a low 10mV offset voltage to minimize DC-current drain through the speakers, a low 13mA supply current, and a 10µA shutdown mode. A MUTE function allows the outputs to be quickly enabled or disabled. A headphone-sense input automatically detects the presence of a headphone jack and configures the amplifiers for either speaker or headphone mode. To compensate for limitations in the frequency response of the loudspeakers, the integrated 2:1 input multiplexer makes it easy to select from multiple audio sources or an external equalizer network. The various functions are controlled by either an I2C-compatible or simple parallel-control interface.
The MAX9760-MAX9763 are available in thermally efficient 28-pin QFN and TSSOP-EP (exposed pad) packages. All devices have complete thermal overload protection and are specified over the extended -40°C to +85°C temperature range. Prices start at $0.95 (100,000-up, FOB USA).
