小型μMAXパッケージに収められた、デュアル、5nsコンパレータ
SUNNYVALE, CA-February 7, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9012/MAX9013 high-speed, low-power comparators in a µMAX package. These comparators round out Maxim's family of 5ns comparators that include the MAX9010 (in ultra-small SC70) and MAX9011 (in SOT23). In addition to the dual (MAX9012), this family offers single comparators with latch enable (MAX9011) and complementary outputs (MAX9013). These devices are ideal for any cost, power, and space-sensitive high-speed signal-conditioning applications. They achieve a blazingly fast 5ns propagation delay with only 900µA supply current per comparatoran exceptional speed versus power ratio.
These tiny comparators have precision below-ground-sensing differential inputs, TTL-compatible outputs, and operate from a 4.5V to 5.5V single supply. Although the common-mode range is restricted to -0.2V to VCC - 1.9V, either input can go to 0.3V above VCC without damage. The comparator makes a correct (and fast) logic decision, provided that at least one of the two inputs is within the specified common-mode range. A unique design technique allows the outputs to remain stable through the linear region, even when driven with slow-moving input signals, eliminating the output instability common to other high-speed comparators.
The single MAX9010 is offered in the ultra-small 6-pin SC70 package (about half the size of the SOT23) with prices that start at $0.95 (2500-up, FOB USA). The dual MAX9012 is available in either 8-pin µMAX or 8-pin SO packages with prices starting at $1.55 (1000-up, FOB USA).
