14ビット、マルチチャネル、シリアルI/O ADC、QSOPパッケージ
SUNNYVALE, CA-August 7, 2003-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX1067/MAX1068 200ksps, 14-bit, multichannel ADCs. These serially interfaced ADCs connect directly to SPI, QSPI, and MICROWIRE devices without external logic. The MAX1167/MAX1168 combine an input multiplexer, a high-bandwidth track/hold, an internal oscillator, a 4.096V bandgap reference, and a 14-bit successive-approximation ADC. These ADCs can operate with their internal reference or with an external reference ranging from 3.8V to AVDD. Excellent dynamic performance (THD < -98dB), DC accuracy (±0.5 LSB DNL, ±1 LSB INL), high speed (200ksps), and low current consumption (2.9mA at 200ksps) make these ADCs ideal for applications such as industrial process control, instrumentation, and medical applications.
The MAX1068 includes an 8-channel multiplexer and the MAX1067 accepts up to four analog inputs. Each device operates from a single 4.75V to 5.25V supply (AVDD) and features a separate digital supply voltage (DVDD), allowing direct interfacing with 2.7V to 5.25V digital logic. Their programmable scan mode converts each channel sequentially or a single channel continuously. DSP-initiated conversions are simplified with the DSP frame-sync input and output. An 8-bit or 16-bit data transfer mode can be selected with the data-bit transfer input featured in the MAX1068. The MAX1068/MAX1067 offer a software-programmable automatic power-down mode between conversions with 1.1µs fast wake-up. Accessing the serial interface automatically powers up the devices, and their quick turn-on time allows them to be shut down between conversions. This technique results in a supply current under 150µA at sampling rates of 10ksps.
The MAX1068 is available in a 24-pin QSOP package and the MAX1067 is available in a 16-pin QSOP package. Both devices are specified over the commercial (0°C to +70°C) and extended (-40°C to +85°C) temperature ranges. Prices start at $6.45 (1000-up, FOB USA).
