高精度デュアル及びオクタル8/10/12ビットDAC、3µsでセトリングし、優れた静止精度を提供
SUNNYVALE, CA-November 12, 2003-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX5290-MAX5295 and MAX5590-MAX5595 family of dual and octal digital-to-analog converters (DACs) available in 8-, 10-, and 12-bit resolutions. These DACs utilize a fast output buffer that guarantees less than 3µs full-scale settling time to 1/2LSB. They provide excellent static accuracy at all resolutions: INL and DNL better than 1LSB; offset error guaranteed less than 5mV; and gain error less than 4LSB.
Two settling time modes are available to trade-off settling time for power consumption. The FAST mode decreases settling time to 3µs (max). The SLOW mode reduces supply current to 3.2mA (max) for the MAX5590-MAX5595 and 800µA (max) for the MAX5290-MAX5295. Excellent DC accuracy and low power make these DACs ideal for industrial applications including process control, automatic test equipment (ATE), and motion control.
The MAX5590-MAX5595 operate from a single 2.7V to 5.25V supply and the MAX5290-MAX5295 operate from a single 2.7V to 3.6V supply. Each device accepts clock speeds up to 20MHz using a 3-wire SPI-/QSPI-/MICROWIRE-compatible serial interface. Two user-programmable digital I/O pins increase flexibility by adding advanced functions. Some of these functions include readback, daisy-chain capability, load DAC for asynchronously updating channels, and hardware shutdown. Each DAC is buffered with a fast-settling amplifier preconfigured in either force-sense or unity-gain.
The MAX5290-MAX5295 are available in 4mm x 4mm 16-pin QFN or 14-pin and 16-pin TSSOP packages. The MAX5590-MAX5595 are available in 24-pin and 28-pin TSSOP packages. Prices start at $3.08 (1000-up, FOB USA).
