±15kV ESD保護付きUSBトランシーバ、UCSPパッケージ、基板スペースを55%削減
SUNNYVALE, CA-February 12, 2004-Maxim Integrated Products
(NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX3344E/MAX3345E/MAX3346E
±15kV ESD-protected USB transceivers. Packaged in a tiny UCSP, these
devices save 55% of the board space over existing solutions. They provide a USB-compliant physical-layer interface for low-voltage ASIC and CPUs, and are ideal for handheld devices such as cell phones and PDAs. The USB D+ and D- data lines are protected to ±15kV per the Human Body Model to provide enhanced protection against ESD strikes along the cable and to eliminate external-protection circuitry.
The MAX3344E/MAX3345E/MAX3346E include a 1.5k pullup
resistor and enumerate input, eliminating the need for an external resistor and
allowing the devices to logically disconnect while plugged in. In addition, the
MAX3344E/MAX3345E detect the availability of VBUS and provide a logiclevel
output to the ASIC and CPU. The MAX3346E is compliant with the USB
specification revisions 1.1 and 2.0, operating at low speed (1.5Mbps) and full
speed (12Mbps). The MAX3344E/MAX3345E are only specified for full-speed
operation.
The MAX3344E/MAX3345E/MAX3346E are powered in three ways:
VBUS from the USB host, directly from a lithium-ion (Li+) battery, or from a
3.3V supply. Each device features a low-power suspend mode to work with
ASICs that operate down to 1.65V.
The MAX3344E/MAX3345E/MAX3346E operate over the extended
temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). The MAX3344E/MAX3345E are
available in space-saving, 2mm x 2mm UCSP or 16-pin TSSOP packages, and
the MAX3346E is available in a 2mm x 2mm UCSP or 14-pin TSSOP package.
Prices start at $0.73 (1000-up, FOB USA).
