マキシムの40Msps~65Msps、クワッド、12ビットLVDS ADCファミリ、超低電力を提供
SUNNYVALE, CA-March 24, 2004-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) unveils the MAX1126/MAX1127 high-speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). These ADCs feature four high-performance, low-power, 12-bit ADC cores integrated into a single, space-saving package. These ICs are targeted at high-channel-count applications that can have as many as 512 ADC channels and require both high performance and low power. Typical applications include medical imaging and wireless communication.
To address the demanding power constraints of these applications, the MAX1127 consumes less than 140mW per channel at a sample rate of 65Msps. This power consumption is 50% lower than the nearest competitive offering, giving the MAX1127 the lowest power rating in its class. The MAX1126 consumes only 130mW at 40Msps. It is important to note that this superior power efficiency does not come at the expense of dynamic performance, as both products offer an exceptional 69dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
To address high-density requirements, the MAX1126/MAX1127 offer a choice of either a serial, low-voltage differential-signaling (LVDS) interface or a scaleable low-voltage signaling (SLVS) interface. The serial LVDS/SLVS interface significantly reduces the pin count, thus reducing package size and board trace clutter. Unique to the MAX1126/MAX1127 is a self-aligning data-clock to data-output interface, which greatly simplifies the timing interface for the user.
The MAX1126/MAX1127 are available in a small, 68-pin
QFN-EP package specified for the industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). Prices for the MAX1126 start at $31.85 and $35.85 for the MAX1127 (1000-up, FOB USA). An evaluation kit is available to speed designs.
